Before You Decorate for Fall

Spring is here, and that means it's time for Easter peeps and T-ball!
That also means working in the yard and all my house projects that I've been waiting all winter to do.
It's a lot of hard work....
But I guess I have a lot of moral support...
Currently we are working on redoing the deck and the master bathroom. They aren't happening as fast as I would like, (does it ever?) but I've decided progress is progress. :)
Judd is growing like all the weeds in my yard... He loves to tinker with things like buttons and boxes. Pens, laundry baskets, and hinges are all fascinating. Still no teeth, but tons of drool. :)
I just wish the weather would make up its mind. I am ready for some sunshine, but I guess that is why they call it Spring.
Judd has perfected a new form of communication and we might just rename him Screetch.
We do pretty good in the kitchen together. Judd is always lots of help. Whether it is defrosting the frozen vegetables or pulling down all of the dishtowels, he likes to be involved.
He has to play with all the boxes I throw away. Sometimes he gets so excited he can't move his little feet fast enough to go check out something he thinks is cool.
It's amazing what makes a fun toy. Notice I made it harder to throw on the floor so we don't just play the "pick up game". :)
He makes a good laundry helper.
The curtains are also very cool. Who needs toys?
Such a happy boy.- I love how his bib always ends up looking more like a cape. :)
He likes to help with whatever I am doing- especially if I am unloading the dishwasher. I love how he will come and find me and just want be by me.
He takes every opportunity to get even with the dogs- since they don't miss any chance they get.
Judd loves his daddy! Scott can get him laughing like no one else.
You can't really see it, but he had some funny bed head. I guess he gets that from me. :)
These are some pictures we took last week after church. I love his little tie!
He may look quiet and reverent but looks can be deceiving. He can be pretty vocal when he wants to be. :)
We went to a spring training game in Las Vegas against the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds. Scott and his Dad have been Cub fans forever. Go Cubs!
We had lots of fun!
Until exhaustion took over.
|
I can't believe Judd is six months old. We went in for his check -up and shots and these are his stats: He is 27 3/4 inches long which still puts him in the 90th percentile for height, and he weighs18.7 pounds which brings him up from the 50th percentile to the 75th. He is loving his rice cereal as long as I add something to it so that it doesn't taste like cardboard. He likes peaches, pears, applesauce, yogurt, and green beans (cold- not warm.) He makes the funniest face when he eats the green beans like they are nasty, but keeps coming back for a second bite.... These are his little feet from when he got out of the tub and stood on the towel. So cute! He rolls over to his stomach all the time now, but then he gets stuck. He is getting so much more vocal. He laughs, and squeals, and lets everyone know that he is around. He is so much fun!
| My sister, Star and I took the cutest pictures the other day. She has a little girl that is about 1 week old. We thought it would be the perfect time to get some cute pictures.
|
Here is a sneak peek at Star's new little one. You will have to check out her blog for all of them.
Of course it helped that we had the cutest subjects!
